Contracting Parties, or member states, will gather to assess the progress of the Convention and the sustainable use of wetlands to date, share knowledge and experience on technical issues, and plan their own and the Secretariat’s work for the next triennium.

ICLEI will be participating the ‘The Ramsar Wetland City Accreditation: a new label for local action’, which supports Ramsar Resolution XI.11 by developing a positive branding opportunity for proactive cities and local governments to engage with communities and to demonstrate strong and positive relationships with wetlands. The side event is prepared by Republic of Korea and Tunisia in association with international and regional organizations WWF, ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, MedWet and Ramsar.
