What we are doing
In response to the growing importance of the circular economy, ICLEI Korea established C-LEAD, an action group aimed at facilitating the implementation of circular economy policies by Korean local governments. This initiative currently includes the active participation of Gyeonggi Province and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.
What we are achieving
Conducted an analysis of local governments’ policies using the 5R strategy, identifying actionable insights to advance circular economy implementation. Organized an online meeting to share policies and best practices among local governments. Established a collaborative framework to promote joint efforts in ending plastic pollution.
