CitiesWithWater Webinar 1: Too little water

How can cities prevent “Day Zero,” the point at which they run out of water for their residents? This webinar explored case studies of cities that successfully averted this crisis, showcasing how innovative water management strategies can address urban water scarcity: “Too Little”. It highlighted how Cape Town, Barcelona, São Paulo, and Marrakech overcame, present and future, challenges to their water security, such as droughts, rapid population growth, and competing regional demands. These cities exemplify the growing vulnerability of urban areas to climate-induced water stress, where outdated infrastructure, uneven access, and weak governance further intensify the risk of running dry.
