Statement presented to the CBD COP 14 Plenary
We know that urgent action is needed to save people, nature and our planet as we hit the 1.5ºC climate wall and may soon reach tipping points that will cause irreversible destruction to nature and ultimately to humankind. We are ready to accelerate our Action Roadmap towards the post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework, in support of the global Roadmap Process of the Parties.
Sharm El-Sheikh Communiqué
Now more than ever all parties, governments at all levels and their stakeholders need to step up their efforts significantly and to work together to realize and enable the rich, diverse and collective contributions, and that of our growing urban populations, to significantly, rapidly and collectively implement actions for contributing directly to the attainment of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) Strategic Plan.
